Philadelphia 76ers Tickets
The Philadelphia 76ers have been representing the City of Brotherly Love since 1963, when the franchise moved to Philly and adopted its current moniker, although the team's biggest fans simply refer to them as the “Sixers." Many of the NBA’s greatest players have played on the Sixers roster, and they continuously draw a crowd at Wells Fargo Center for their home games. After reaching the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs last year for the first time since 2003, the Sixers have a lot to look forward to this upcoming season, as should Philadelphia fans.
Philadelphia 76ers History
It may come as a surprise to some, but the original Philadelphia 76ers weren't in Philly, and weren't called the 76ers! The team originated as the Syracuse Nationals, the very same year that the NBA came into existence, 1937, and didn't move to the City of Brotherly Love until 1963, at which point they became the 76ers. Since then, towering figures in basketball like Wilt Chamberlain, Charles Barkley, Julius Irving, and Moses Malone have worn the 76ers jersey.
In 2001, Allen Iverson led the Philadelphia 76ers to an Eastern Conference best 56-26 regular season record and a trip to the NBA Finals. Following the Iverson era, the Sixers would make multiple playoff appearances led by stars Andre Iguodala and Elton Brand. However, the team struggled to advance past the first round of the playoffs, until last season, falling to Boston in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in seven games. Philadelphia decided to shake things up, and in a four-team deal, traded Andre Iguodala and acquired NBA All-Star center Andrew Bynum from the Los Angeles Lakers. While losing Louis Williams, last season’s team leading scorer, via free agency may have hurt the team, the deal for Bynum, in addition to the growth of young players like Jrue Holliday, Thaddeus Young, and Evan Turner, the Sixers are turning into a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference, making Philadelphia 76ers tickets among the most coveted in the NBA.

Hip-Hop the Rabbit is the official mascot of the Philadelphia 76ers, and often appears with his sidekick, Lil Hip-Hop and his helpers, the Hare Raisers. While fans with Philadelphia 76ers tickets undoubtedly turn up to see the players take the court, Hip-Hip has been known to perform slam dunks with the help of a trampoline or over the head of a Sixers dancer!
